Swept Away the title of our first dance on our wedding day. Our love has transformed from being swept away by each other, into together being swept away by faith, hope and love in Jesus Christ!
I was born in Charlotte, NC on December 30, 1985. After moving around from Charlotte to Atlanta, my family settled down in Gastonia, NC. I grew up enjoying all outdoor activities from sports to camping. After high school I was accepted to Appalachian State University, where I played baseball and graduated with a Bachelor in Communication and minor in Construction Management. Graduating December 2008. During college I met Katie through a hometown friend. We continued to date after college and were engaged in June 2010 and married in August 2011. I started working for the Winston Salem Fire Department as a firefighter. I currently serve at Egbe Hospital as Hospital Equipment Manager. I oversee the Central Supply Room and also work to maintain existing and new medical equipment. I also assist with new construction and maintenance around the hospital.
I am a women of Christ seeking to live out the Gospel daily! Born April 2, 1987, I grew up in the small town of Kernersville, NC. My childhood and growing up years were a blessing of constant family support, lasting friendships and a love for sports. In 2005 I was accepted to further my education at Appalachian State and earned a BS in Physical Education, Human Studies. The highlight of my time at AS U is undoubtedly meeting Nick, and we cherish our years falling in love in the high country! We have since married, settled in Winston Salem, and I work as a PE teacher. I work as teacher for missionary kids on the Egbe Hospital compound. I also assist with the CARE Africa program- which helps to empower widows, orphans, and abandoned children. I love my new home in Egbe, Nigeria and helping to re-establish a the once vibrant missionary community. To be able to use teaching to further Gods kingdom is a dream come true!!!
BLESSING, MIRACLE, and TESTIMONY
We were born in Lagos, Nigeria to two wonderful parents Olubumni Adeyemi and Abiodun Adeyemi. They loved us dearly, teaching us very early on the importance of education, hard work, and most importantly all about our Savior Jesus Christ! Unfortunately our Dad passed in 2011 from severe burns following a motorcycle crash, and our mother fell ill and passed in 2014. Only by Gods grace did we have the chance to be a family again, and to once more feel the love of a Mom and Dad. Nick and Katie have adopted us into their family, and have shown us a deep, unconditional love we never knew existed.
